Overall Armillo is a great game. It has incredible music, incredible gameplay, incredible story, incredible everything. Armillo as a whole is just great!

Armillo combines 2D and 3D platforming magnificently. The controls are easy to use. The game features an Off-TV mode. It's great to see references to other games as well. I would highly recommend getting this excellent game, especially if you enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog or Super Mario Galaxy games.

With incredible 3D and 2D platforming gameplay and 45 stages to conquer Armillo will keep you coming back for more, while the responsive controls and nearly flawless audio-visual presentation will immerse you in the game's amazing world! When all is said and done, I am very glad to have played Armillo on the Wii U. It is a very well made 3D puzzle platformer created by such a small indie developer. I would encourage anyone looking for a good adventure game to give Armillo a go. There is enough content in the game to keep players entertained for hours and then some, especially to unlock all the content in Armillo. Most players will likely have to play Armillo more than once through to see everything the game has to offer. It is definitely worth the money not only for the content but the quality of the game as well.

Armillo did not only meet the hype I created for it, but blew right by it. The 2D levels were good, and the 3D levels even better. Armillo is the complete package in terms of gameplay, praphics and sound and at the introductory price of 6 bucks, you’d be foolish not to pick this game up. This is the Sonic game that Team Sonic can’t figure out how to make.

Although some can consider it to be a blend of past games, the notion that Armillo took the best attributes of those make it quite the gem amongst the eshop titles out there. Armillo is similar to many games, yet it isn't identical to any of the games it draws inspiration from. Although Armillo isn't the most original game, and most of its mechanics are borrowed, it manages to cherry pick many established and enjoyable gimmicks into a concentrated playground. The resulting game is pure fun, and any issues are purely aesthetic.

The music is great, controls are fantastic, Off-TV play on the GamePad, as well as support for a Pro Controller, which I appreciated.
Overall, I really enjoyed Armillo. If you’re into 3D platforming games, I highly recommend that you pick up Armillio on the Nintendo Wii U eShop on July 3rd for just $6 for its first three weeks on the eShop, then $8 afterwards. I give Armillo a 9/10.

I’ve been very surprised by Armillo, from the story, I was expecting the traditional “Orange Armadillo saves Pink Armadillo”, to the sheer amount of ideas and creativity expressed in the levels,and the brilliant 2D levels as well as the soundtrack, I’ve been blown away. I’d love to play lots more. Fuzzy Wuzzy Games have done a superb job in making a new IP which doesn’t stick to the traditional 2D, 16-bit indie platformer forumla. This fast-paced action and puzzle adventure should be on your list of games to buy soon.

I first heard about Armillo on Twitter a few months back from AE Games. As always, they were giving some Nintendo WiiU love to games that really utilize the use of the GamePad along with other Nintendo perks. I said to myself, I am going to enjoy this game. Here I am today, playing Armillo on a daily basis and living up to my word, this game is extremely enjoyable.

Armillo may have taken a few years to reach completion, but the long wait proved to be worth it. With unique 2D and 3D levels containing enough variations to keep things lively, a large number of unlockables and high replayability, all presented in lovley HD visuals, Armillo is a must download for platforming fans and puzzle fans alike. Hitting the sweet spot is always difficult for a game to do as cleanly as Armillo does, and frame rate drops aside, this game deserves a place at the top of the eShop.

Com o jogo do tatuzinho em mãos, fica óbvio que a espera valeu a pena e que esta é uma das melhores pedidas que podem ser encontradas na eShop atualmente, até mesmo se considerarmos o custo-benefício. Então, caso estejam a fim de um jogo envolvendo uma bolinha fofa e rápida que deu realmente certo (se é que me entendem), Armillo com certeza vai te desafiar e te divertir por horas.

Pur non mostrando i muscoli della console Nintendo, il titolo firmato Fuzzy Wuzzy Games si difende bene e, standosene bene alla larga dagli eccessi inutili, regala un mix perfetto di gameplay e varietà a un prezzo davvero allettante.

I'm very glad I got the chance to play Armillo. It controls great, sounds great, and is a ton of fun to play. Even with a few issues in both presentation and gameplay, this is still a game that I would definitely recommend to any platformer fan out there.

Всего прохождение Armillo займёт у вас около пяти часов, но если вы любите исследовать игры вдоль и поперек, вы всегда сможете побить свои рекорды, а также найти все секретные уровни и всех светлячков, спрятанных на территории планет, а это не так-то и просто. Добавьте к вышесказанному напряженные битвы с боссами и путешествия в параллельную вселенную и получите весьма добротный проект, сделанный с душой.

Cuando al principio pregunté cuál era el lugar para el juego de Armillo entre los indies os respondo con completa convicción que se encuentra en el tercer caso, es decir, aquellos juegos que, pese a tener las virtudes para ser grandes, no llegan a serlo y pasan completamente ocultos entre la marabunta de títulos existentes. Sólo hay una frase que pueda definir este juego: Tiene calidad pese a sus pocos defectos, es original pese a basarse en una mecánica ya vistas y es muy divertido pese a ser poco rejugable. Tres virtudes y tres “peros” aunque una sola conclusión, si no lo tienes, mi sugerencia es que lo compres.

For around the same price as a large extra value meal at McDonald's, Armillo provides a much better value and also doesn't pile on the pounds. Great for those who want to keep that beach figure for the summer! Going back on track, this unique title about a fluffy space armadillo is definitely one of the hottest games on the Wii U eShop right now, technical issues aside. For those who love space, puzzles and armadillos, Armillo is the best possible title to match those needs.

In the end, Armillo is a great first effort by Fuzzy Wuzzy Games. It's fun, and more importantly, packed full of content. After completing all 5 worlds, you'll likely have plenty of secret levels (of which there are just as many as the normal levels) to discover and play through as well as a few secret worlds that house offer some great surprises that I won't spoil here (you'll have to experience it yourself). Armillo is without a doubt one of the best values on the eShop (at only $8) for what it gives you in return, so if you're a fan of 3D platformers and or are simply looking for something for a good game to play on the eShop, definitely consider rolling with this one.

Fuzzy Wuzzy Games, despite the positive (if not simplistic) visuals draws a bit 'too shamelessly from most noble products of this kind but somehow still packs Armillo with a platform of its own style, soulful 'old school' and somehow original, thanks to the gameplay variety.

A large amount of content, regular new gameplay additions that ensure the game doesn't get stale, a full second set of levels with completely different gameplay, and high replayability have all come together to create the newest must-have eShop title.

Le studio indépendant Fuzzy Wuzzy Games réalise avec Armillo un jeu aussi élégant qu'efficace et nous propose une formule qui fait mouche. Les amateurs de plateformes trouveront là sans aucun doute de quoi assouvir leur soif de challenge. In the end, I finished the game at a mere 58 percent. Revisiting levels is rewarding, especially since there is a lot left to unlock and discover in each one even when you finish the main story, which is a fun romp by itself. Basically, I’d say there is no reason to not at least check out this neat, novel game. It’s an easy-to-pick-up, fun title that just about anyone can enjoy.

Armillo‘s art style feels like a classic-yet-modern package. With a cute mascot and cute companions, the enemy’s metallic exteriors have a harsh contrast in a way that works very well. The voice acting works, but is nothing special, while the music is very catchy and nice. There are a ton of tracks, and the 2D levels that you encounter have classic chiptune sounds, which help to make them a bit less frustrating. (Some of them are downright hard!).

Tiene un punto de arcade clásico muy de agradecer, y puede dar bastante de sí –calculamos que, si queremos completarlo al cien por cien, puede ofrecernos unas diez horas, que se quedarían en unas cinco si sólo lo queremos jugar sin más–. Si vuestra Wii U necesita un plataformas diferente, Armillo debería estar en vuestra agenda.

In a gaming industry of massive amounts of clones, and copies it is nice to play something fresh like Armillo. I hope to see sequels to Armillo in the near future. It was a joy and a pleasure for me to be able to play Armillo on the Wii U. It has me hopeful for the future of video games.

Armillo is a great experience on the Wii U. It has a little bit of story but plenty of gameplay to keep it fresh for users looking for a great 3D platformer. The gameplay switches up plenty from level to level, so there are no two levels alike making this a great pick-up-and-play title for anyone with a Nintendo Wii U. The amount of puzzles found in each of the levels keeps the user on top of their game. Most of them are pretty easy but still provide the right amount of challenge. Armillo has a good amount of replay value since there are always faster times to beat in each level and plenty of extra content put into the game that will bring the user back time and time again.

Armillo is a charming platformer that manages to do just enough to differentiate it from some of its predecessors. Although it didn't blow me away by any stretch of the imagination, it has a ton of content packed in it to the point where I'll be spending quite a while to find it all.

Un’accoppiata che funziona, perché Armillo si dimostra un esperimento simpatico, intelligente e dalle buone idee, che potranno essere apprezzate da un pubblico che storicamente dovrebbe essere affine ai giochi colorati e allegri qual è Armillo.

In the end, I found myself in the old routine of having “just one more go” instead of actually writing this review like I should have been doing. In fact, the final secret level in this game, The Brutal Path, a.k.a, Armillo‘s version of Super Mario Galaxy 2‘s The Perfect Run, had me retrying and failing for — let’s just say a long time — and I played it until I beat it. It’s always a good sign when a game manages to reel you in like that and considering my less-than-stellar first impressions, it’s also one of the nicest surprises an old cynic such as myself could have. Thank you, Fuzzy Wuzzy Games!

En conclusión, no podemos decir que 'Armillo' sea un mal juego, pero tampoco encontramos en el ningún componente diferenciador que lo haga singular dentro de su género. Prácticamente todo lo que plantea a nivel jugable está a muy buen nivel, y generan en conjunto una propuesta realmente variada, aunque poco original. Lo que sí es mejorable es su apartado gráfico, tanto en lo estético como en cuanto al rendimiento, ya que son habituales los crasheos al iniciar las fases. En cualquier caso, como amante de las plataformas me ha hecho pasar un buen rato, y por los 6 euros que cuesta creo que es una opción a tener en cuenta.

Armillo is een uitstekend spel dat op vele fronten boven het gemiddelde van andere eShop-titels uitsteekt. Zo ziet het spel er grafisch voor een Indie titel voor de Nintendo eShop aardig uit, is de gameplay vrij verslavend en weet het spel met aardig wat inhoud te komen voor een toch vrij lage prijs. Het spel kent enkele glitches en had hier en daar toch nog wat meer kunnen worden afgewerkt, maar dat mag het plezier niet bederven. Ben je op zoek naar een goede maar toch goedkope titel? Armillo is zeker een aanrader, daar je er aardig wat uren zoet mee kunt zijn.

I really enjoyed my playthrough of Armillo. Though some players may find themselves easily discouraged by the difficulty of certain stages, I found the experience more rewarding than anything. I felt like I was transported back in time to the dawn of 3D games in 90’s.

In addition to some fun platforming hooks, the presentation of the game is all-around solid. The story is a fun little space romp, which even manages to have its own twists and turns.

One thing that seriously caught my attention early on was the sound of this game. The first level is eerily quiet in the beginning. You arrive on Armillo’s homeworld with a backdrop of rain and thunder claps. This slowly progresses to some really nice upbeat tunes that had me swinging along throughout his adventure.

Puede hacerse corto si no se quiere alcanzar el 100% y resulta lineal, pero entretiene bastante mientras dura.

...however, with each new stage, the game adds extra new mechanics, enemies and terrain types, burning through ideas at a brilliant rate of knots. As such, you never quite know what’s coming next, aside from the arbitrary ice and fire missions that the genre pretty much demands at this point, flip flopping between being both ingenious and infuriating as the difficulty swiftly skyrockets with each increasingly complex new level.

L’esthétique datée et référencée d’Armillo a touché chez moi une corde sensible, celle des premières consoles 3D, des mascottes un peu ringardes et des jeux directs et funs. A l’heure du pixel roi, Fuzzy Wuzzy Games a osé un jeu dans l’esprit N64 qui soigne ses mécaniques et les renouvelle constamment. Frustrant quand il oublie que la simplicité sied mieux à son gameplay et à la physique de son personnage, Armillo pourra faire rager plus d’un joueur. En un primer vistazo Armillo puede parecer un juego simplón, que busca agradarle a los mas conformistas, sin embargo y una vez iniciamos a jugarlo nos damos cuenta que va mucho mas allá. Armillo toma lo mejor del diseño de niveles de Super Mario Galaxy, lo combina con los controles de Sonic The sonic the hedgehog y Super Monkey Ball, y agrega las mecánicas de Bomberman y Nano Assault Neo, para finalizar acompañado con gran cantidad de diálogos cursis a la Banjo-Kazooie o Star-Fox (Do a barrel roll!). Aunque puede sonar extraña y hasta exagerada esta combinación, esos detalles son lo que hacen de este juego único en su género y una experiencia difícil de igualar.
